So today completes the circle of three hundred and sixty-five
days in my mortal life. It seems like just yesterday when I celebrated 23. How
time flies! A lot of events have happened between the interval; mostly good,
and some were less good. So after these long (or short) years, I have made some
discoveries along the blustery, bumpy road of existence which I’d like to share
with all my loving friends.
Relationships are good
I am sure you’ve heard the saying, “No man is an island”. And
you know within you that that cannot be more true. My life is beautiful,
coloured and embellished with the people I’ve met. They’re the brightness in
dark and sullen days; a lighthouse in stormy weathers. I couldn’t have been
what I am without them. So, cherish your relationships and the people you meet;
they’ll be there to lift you up.
If you can conceive,
you can achieve
There is almost nothing that we can’t achieve if we want to.
A good friend of mine told me just recently, “There’s always something that
stands between you and your goal”. If everything comes easy, we would not be
great people with a sense of purpose and responsibility. Whatever you want to
do, you can do it. Our greatest enemy is our self. So, get out there and live
your dreams. “Danger is real, fear is a choice”.
God Lasts
Newsboys, a Christian Rock band, released an album in the year 2011, God’s Not Dead. This was a stunner against a backdrop of scientific theories that God is a myth. Well, He isn’t. He still rules the affairs of men with unrivaled skill and with sovereignty. Many have made very brilliant postulations about the end of God, but 24 years now, it seems He’s just getting started. “God doesn’t come and go; God lasts”.

I am really grateful you kept reading. I will probably eat
some cake, and have a little shindig.
Just probably. Or I might just lock myself in and study and write. I am boring
right? Honestly, I feel so happy about today-not only because it’s my
birthday-I am growing steadily, mentally and in beauty. I am right where I want
to be.
I am pretty certain a
lot would have changed by the time I’d be writing about 25. Watch out for another
piece after 365 days.
Happy Birthday to ME!
