BSC CONFERENCE 2017 —THE JOY OF PARENTING

Truth be told, parenting can be tepid, tedious, tiresome, and tricky. It is now a term that is—largely or loosely—associated with drudgery. And against the backdrop of our collapsing institutions, and with it our rapidly eroding moral values, parenting is increasingly becoming a decisive act and art. The inerrant Word—not society—reveals the beauty of partnering with the author of humanity in raising a godly generation for himself. Knowing the intrinsic worth of these little ones adds a bucket-load of motivation—the fate of the next generation depends on them. But, is there anything glorious about parenting?
Could there be any joy in repeating the same tedious routines? Is there any joy in parenting?
The Nigeria Fellowship of Evangelical Students (NIFES) Jos zone hosts a 3-day Brothers and Sisters Conference to unravel the dynamics of parenting. We hope with the long list of itinerant speakers, these numerous questions would be answered.
There will be side attractions and eye-catching activities; sporting events like football (Male and Female), blindfolds, race (Male and Female), sack race, egg race, and skipping/jump rope.

Practical Session/ Skill Acquisition: Pastries- cakes and other pastries, bead works, bags, throw pillows, decoration, ankara Accessories, candle, soap (Bar and Toilet soap), mayonaise Making, tying of gyelle, Making of Peanut, Shamballa, hand-made Card, painting, general Art Work
